Nordic Paper releases CSRD-inspired sustainability report with competitive results
Nordic Paper recently launched its sustainability report for 2025. Although the company, following its delisting in autumn 2025, is no longer subject to CSRD reporting requirements, it has chosen to continue drawing inspiration from the standard.
“We already had many of the components in place, while also believing it is important to take sustainability reporting seriously. That’s why we have chosen to include much of what the CSRD standard requires in our sustainability report,” says Jenny Sjöstedt, Sustainability Manager.
“Well on track”
Two aspects of the report that stand out are the reduced climate footprint and lower oil consumption. Total climate impact decreased by 28 % from 2024 to 2025 (188,000 tonnes CO2e in 2024, 135,500 tonnes CO2e in 2025), and fuel consumption from petroleum-based products declined by 20 % over the same period (74,229 MWh in 2024, 59,539 MWh in 2025).
“We are well on track to achieving our climate target of reducing our fossil-based climate impact by 50 % from 2020 to 2030,” says Jenny Sjöstedt.
